Dan Keeley is one of the UK's leading mental health activists & keynote speakers on a mission to empower the UK to speak up when we’re suffering.
In 2017, after a 5 year battle with bipolar disorder and coming close to taking his own life, Dan ran 1250 miles from the Colosseum in Rome back to the London Eye (solo & self-supported) to share his story on a national scale - raising over £15,000 for The Campaign Against Living Miserably and inspiring hundreds of others to speak up about their own personal battles. Now Dan is a nationally-recognised and award-winning mental health activist; harnessing his lived-experiences to inspire others by collaborating & delivering powerful live talks with many of the UK’s most forward-thinking corporate organisations, conferences, schools, NHS trusts, festivals and social enterprises dedicated to improving the mental-wellbeing of their audiences & communities. Dan is regularly featured on national media platforms including BBC England, London Live, The Evening Standard, The Telegraph, The Sun, Happiful and credited by the Heads Together campaign. Dan is also the Founder & Mission Director of #AREWEOKUK: The social enterprise on a mission to empower the UK to speak up when we’re suffering so that together we can show future generations how it’s done.
PRO MOBILE CONFERENCE
KEYNOTE SESSION & WORKSHOP
DJing In Mind: The Power of Speaking Up When We’re Suffering
Recognised as one of the UK's leading mental health activists, Dan will be joining us at the 2020 Pro Mobile Conference to share his full story and to ignite a conversation around mental health. He’ll encourage us to think about what we can all be doing to prioritise our own mental-wellbeing as professional DJs. We all deserve to have the courage, support and safe space to speak up when we’re suffering, Dan will help us to create this at the conference. Delivered with energy, passion and real clarity for the world Dan has dedicated his life to creating, this isn’t to be missed!
SUNDAY & MONDAY (SMALL GROUP SESSION)
Alongside his live keynote talk, Dan will be delivering two powerful workshop sessions. In an interactive small group environment, Dan will discuss what really matters most, why applying simplicity to everything we do as professional DJs can be game-changing for our mental wellbeing, and why ‘starting at the end’ will take the pressures off where we are now - ultimately leaving you feeling empowered to ‘own your mental health as you’ve never done before’.
“Brilliant! Great food too! Great spread of different topics and action points
to implement across both work and personal life!”
